Drowned by explosions in the sky

January 31st, 2008  |  Published in Events

…

It’s time we value more showcases like the one we just had with Club 8 and Pelle, where the quality of music is what really brings people together for a happy night out.

It’s a pleasure, then, to announce that the next Soundscape Record’s event will be none other than a post-rock treat from the highly-praised and very intense quartet from Austin, Texas… EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY!

Although it is hosted at a club (RUUMS, KL), I guarantee it’s not an event to be missed, especially since Kuala Lumpur is the only other Asian stop after Taiwan.

That’s not all. There’s the magical musings on instruments, which is bound to take you on an emotional ride..far, far away..

What’s more important is that there’s really no better time to catch them LIVE because..

EITS will apparently “drop off from the face of the earth” (in their own words) after they complete their shows in June 2008. Time to rejuvenate after all the sonic “explosion”, I suppose.

Tickets to the show will be available today onwards at various locations. Check www.soundscape-records.com for details!

* Soundscape Records was also fundamental in bringing Dirty Three, the infamous Australian post-rock group, to Kuala Lumpur in December 2006, and ambient pop artist, Caroline Lufkin, in June 2007.
